Settlement Services

Our settlement services addresses the needs of recently arrived individuals and families from diverse Arabic-speaking countries who have been in Australia for less than 5 years. Services are provided through case management and group-based activities (ie. group sessions, peer support groups etc). Arabic Welfare services are offered at our office, on outreach locations and through online/telephone.

Case Management

We offer one-on-one service for newly arrived humanitarian entrants to address their settlement needs. Our staff play a critical role in building rapport and supporting clients, and linking them to other necessary services.

Group Based Activities

Our group base activities/programs are interactive and are delivered in English/Arabic. Participants learn and benefit from information on citizenship, driver education, financial management, interviewing and job seeking, housing, legal services and others.

Outreach

Services are provided at various partner locations such as Adult Migration Education Program location.  Through outreach Arabic Welfare addresses a broad range of topics, such as family and relationship issues, financial difficulty, education and employment, migration matters, physical and mental health.

Peer Support

Our peer support groups combine social, creative and physical activities and provide a safe, fun and non-judgmental environment. The groups offer opportunities for socialisation and development of friendships, upskilling through a range of educational sessions and recreational activities, and practical life skills to deal with issues relating to trust, family and relationships, self-esteem, conflict, grief and loss.
