Serving all Arabic Speaking Communities

Settlement Outreach

Settlement Outreach

Arabic Welfare staff provide casework services at the following Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) locations:  Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE, Kangan TAFE (Broadmeadows), the Meadow Heights Learning Shop and the Glenroy Neighbourhood Learning Centre.

Outreach at these locations is crucial for our clients, as it provides a one-stop shop for access to our services at the same location as their adult migrant education programs.  We also provide outreach services in other locations from time to time, depending on need.

What does the program offer?

  • Information about settling in Australia and accessing available local services
  • Assistance and support with a broad range of issues, including family and relationships, financial support, migration matters, life skills, education and employment, physical and mental health, etc
  • Referrals to appropriate services, including counselling and mediation

Who is eligible?

Newly arrived migrants and refugees from diverse Arabic speaking backgrounds.
