To the Arabic-speaking community residing in Victoria,

Arabic Welfare is profoundly saddened by the news of the devastating earthquakes that have affected Turkiye and Syria last week.

We feel your pain, your suffering and your grief.

During these uncertain times, it’s understandable to feel helpless to those abroad who are enduring incredible hardships, especially more so when it relates to your family and friends.

Your perseverance and strength through this disaster is inspiring to us all.

We also understand how much of a tremendous impact this has had on the Arabic speaking community in Australia, especially the Syrian community, that has been affected in both their homeland, and in Turkiye, which is home to the largest number of Syrian refugees in the world.

Therefore, Arabic Welfare continues to operate and we want to assure you that we are here to provide you with the support needed. We have assigned dedicated staff to address the needs of our people and to provide counselling, information and other support to the Syrian and Iraqi communities who have a strong knit to their families in Syria, Iraq and Turkiye. Our Staff will be in regular contact to ensure we are adaptative and responsive to our people’s needs.

Please reach out to us at 9380 9536 and we will try to support you in any way we can.
